Snow vs. Sun?

I'll choose sun any day! We arrived in Rincon, Puerto Rico late this morning. Ate lunch and had a couple of Mojitos to unwind from our travels at sandy beach and then headed to check out some other surf spots, Domes and Maria's. Looks like my speed...Getting in the water tomorrow.
And not to rub it in... A view of the sun setting from our hotel room.

NEW iphone case!

Ever since I dropped my iphone 4 in the toilet, I have have made a resolution to take better care of my iPhone 4S. I thought if I got white phone (instead of black) AND a new case I would take better care of it because it would feel new. So far, so good.

A photographer I work with turned me on to this case. I bought it through amazon.com, but the brand is elago.

J'adore Les Parapluies de Cherbourg.

This is one of my favorite movies mostly because the set and costume design work together flawlessly. The musical aspect of the film can become a bit much, but the visual holds it together for me. (I found this movie popping up in my head because I am doing some research for a photo shoot and you may soon see the movie influencing in some work I have in progress. And, yes... I know there have been alot of "wait and sees" going on with in my blog. But, hopefully it will keep you coming back for more!)

I want it now!

My mom didn't call me "I want girl" when I was growing up for nothing...

(Hopefully, I can afford it.)

I love justice.

I just got off the phone with the East Hampton Town Justice court and my ticket for not "following a sign" (surfing prohibited) was dismissed!

I thought to share what I sent to them in my defense.

East Hampton Town Court
159 Pantigo Road
East Hampton, NY 11937-2643

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this letter in order to submit proof of dismissal for the enclosed Traffic Ticket AAK7146160 for disobeying a sign.

On September 4, 2011, I was accused and ticketed of surfing in a surfing prohibited area of the Montauk Point State Park beach. This officer ticked me based on an assumption with no actual proof of an act and disobeying a sign. Please note the following facts and refer to the map enclosed:

• The officer approached me in his truck. He stopped me in front of the State Park Cafe (MAP exhibit A) and asked for my ID
• He asked if I knew that surfing was prohibited in that area (MAP exhibit B) to which I answered "No, I was unaware" and in response he vaguely indicated where the signs were posted.
• The officer did not stop me on the beach or even visually where you can see the beach, instead stopped me next to the Cafe close to the road (MAP exhibit A) . Therefore he did not witness an act of surfing thus disobeying the sign.
• I was not even carrying a surfboard

Thank you for you time and consideration of this dismissal.

Sincerely,

Naomi Azuma

I've been slacking...

Lately, I've been working so much that I barely have anything exciting to report. Actually, I take that back... I've got some funny stuff on the pipeline but it has to wait due do my unwavering professionalism ;). So, I am going back through my archive of images and thought I would post some images that I have in my digital library.
Yes, I drew this... I believe I actually have a photo album filled with self portraits.
Notice, I had earrings on... It was my way of hinting that I wanted my ears pierced!

A sticker I got way back and if I recall correctly it was created by Futura 2000
My mom tells me that my Dad always admired Hiro's work.
I saw this fighting fish/birds exhibition with Avedon in Paris in 1993.
